This lecture will focus on current concepts and proven methods for increasing the survival of direct and indirect dental restorations. Topics will include: 1) ethical reasons for placement and replacement of dental amalgam and resin-based composites; 2) accurate impressions are not just about materials; 3) dental cements: is zinc phosphate still a viable material?; and 4) modern ceramics: Tips and pitfalls. The following critical questions will be addressed. Is the use of dental amalgam banned or restorations replaced when patients change dentists? What are the main esthetic limitations of composite crowns and bridges? Why are ceramic restorations chipping more than ever before? How can the survival of direct and indirect restorations be maximized? REGISTRATION DETAILS Please register early as there is a limit to the number of participants we can accommodate. Trade exhibits will be present during the seminar. This symposium is open to ALL DENTISTS. Do not miss this rare opportunity to meet and listen to the man behind the book we all read (or should have read ) during our days in Dentistry.
