2. Development of a treatment plan and treatment phases for the patient with a compromised TM joint
   
3. How and when to image the TMJs and how to utilize the results to differentially diagnose the joint
   
4. When and how to determine the �treatment position� for an unhealthy joint and how to record and verify it
   
5. Determination of the risks of instability resulting from the condition of the joint and how to communicate them so the patient can make an informed choice
   
6. Evaluation of the design, fabrication and role of different types of occlusal splints such as full and partial coverage appliances with special emphasis on  NTI-TSS appliance
   
7. The use of splints as a diagnostic tool, as a component of �Phase One Therapy,� and as a long-term treatment option
